Teri Meri Kahaniyaan 2023 – Review:-
Not seen a Indian/ Pakistan film with three different tales, an anthology, so this was a treat. And it’s good. The first tale is a family who are down and out, living where ever, with some dark comedy it has some supernatural themes in it, and is the longest of the three, lasting an hour. The ending is gold, and this tale feels like a British comedy of old. The second is comedy of errors like and the most like the Ealing comedies from the 50’s, much like the first one. It’s all about a wedding, but has all sorts of things going on This one starts with a great dance number and has the most songs in it, and is the most colourful tale on show here. The third and last is very much ‘Brief Encounter’, but obviously with some changes, because of the setting and with some very smart writing and direction. All three stories are good, nothing is wasted at all, but it’s not an 8/10 film, as it does fall short here and there, so I gave it 7/10.
